Working in care for many years we have met a wide range of clients, some of which lived in care homes. On a daily basis there would be hairdressers in and out of the care homes, and seeing their faces light up after having their hair done made us realise, why can’t they have beauty treatments?

Being qualified beauty consultants, we sent out information to care homes about Feeling Fabulous and the calls started coming in.

Why can’t the elderly have a facial, why can’t they feel fabulous, just because they can’t get out to a beauty salon, just because they are mature. We all like to feel amazing and who doesn’t like being pampered and having companionship at the same time.

The clients we have met, range from the age of 64 up to the age of 103. The difference in their appearance amazes them and ourselves, and they love being pampered.

Being in a care home or even not being able to get out of your own home can be very isolating, depressing and lonely. Having a pampering can relax you, gives you some ‘me’ time and a friendly face to talk to. We always spend time with our clients after their treatment, a cup of tea and chat always seem to go down well.

Being qualified carers, we can use our skills and knowledge to give facials to anyone especially those who are suffering from dementia and anxiety.
